Never the Bride is indeed a world class act. The power, the passion, the voice and the songs are what make them stand apart from any other act around today. Each performance, given with complete heart and soul will take you through their own songs and some of their favourite cover classics. Every performance is a unique journey.
They've graced stages around the world with rock gods such as The Who, Robert Plant, ZZ Top and Alice Cooper among others.
Nikki Lamborn – Lead Singer
She has been described as a love child of Robert Plant and Tina Turner so now you know what to expect on stage
Nikki is known as one of the most gifted and respected vocalists in the music world today. Many compliments come from many great singers. Diva Dame Shirley Bassey on hearing Nikki sing The Living Tree for the fist time said “I got goose pimples and the hairs on the back of my neck stood up.”
Catherine Feeney - Keyboards – Guitar - Vocals
Never the Bride’s sum of parts is far exceeded by its whole, notably Catherine Feeney, composer on keyboards and 12-string guitar. The main composer, she is a talented songwriter who brings a unique blend of strength and melody to each song, which makes this duo who they are today.
Originally from Glasgow, Scotland, she also made her way to London where she met Nikki on stage in a London Pub. Soon after that meeting they formed a creative song writing collaboration and haven’t stopped since.
The girls always put on an incredible performance, and are backed by one of the best back lines going having performed with artists such as Tina Turner, Elton John, Eric Clapton, James Brown, Steve Marriot, Mark Knopfler and then some.
Somewhere in the live set will be their Bond-esque song “The Living Tree” which they actually delivered to Shirley Bassey with a note saying: “Please record it.” And she did!
Nikki and Catherine went on to produce Bassey’s Get The Party Started album. The Dame found working with the girls ‘inspirational” and thanked them for making recording fun again. Their collaboration helped Dame Shirley break world records with the longevity of her chart career. The album reached Number 6 in the UK charts and her version of The Living Tree became a top 40 hit and was sung by Bassey in the presence of The Queen on a The Royal Variety Performance.
They consider their music a gift that takes them around the world meeting beautiful people and so the dream lives on.
